The Theory of Plate Tectonics.
Do you agree with the theory of plate tectonics? Why or why not?
Plate tectonics is the theory that the outer layer of the Earth is divided into several plates that slide over the mantle, the rock layer on the inner core. The plates act as a hard, rigid shell compared to the Earth's mantle. The German astronomer and meteorologist Alfred Wegener (1880-1930) who proposed that the continents in the geological past were united in a supercontinent named Pangea.
Earth, 225 million years ago, was formed on the surface by a single structure called "Pangea" (all continents together), which was fragmented to form the continents as we know them today. Now the planet's surface is covered by plates in relative motion between them.

It also explains the formation of mountain ranges. It also gives a satisfactory explanation of why earthquakes and volcanoes are concentrated in specific regions of the world (as the Pacific Ring of Fire) or why large trenches are along islands and continents and not in the center ocean.
Plants and animals fossils also suggest the existence of Pangea. Impressions of leaves of a fern, Glossopteris are widely distributed in rocks of Africa, South America, India and Australia. Reconstruction of Gondwana restricts the area of influence of Glossopteris to a contiguous region of the supercontinent. The distribution of terrestrial vertebrate fossils also supports this interpretation. The existence of tetrapods on all continents during the Triassic is an indication that there were connections between the continental land masses. In particular the distribution of the fossil reptile Mesosaurus in Africa and South America, the absence of similar species in other regions is a strong indication of continuity between these continents during the Permian.
Well my opinion on this theory is that everything they say is right because they have evidence of how the tectonic plates are and the things that happened before we existed are true. I agree with this theory.
Reflection
The thing that I enjoy on this project is that I can work any time in my work in any activity Ms.Kara give to us lot of chooses to do this project, and we can work by my own or with a partner.
Well the most challenging during this project was that some times I don't had any idea to make my model.
The new things that I learn with the project was that I learn more about all the topic not only just one part.
I can improve in how to explain my work more and work more hard.
Well I would not change anything. .

Earthquakes
Epicenter is where the force of the earthquake start.
Focus is the starting point of earthquake under the earth.
Hypocenter is the part underground focus point of an earthquake.
Seismograph is the machine that measure how powerful is the earthquake.
Might ask why earthquakes happen? I'll answer....
When the giant boulders that form the crust of the Earth will move due to plate tectonics, are destined to collide. These blocks of rock in contact failures. Sometimes they slide smoothly against each other in a failure. That could lead to an earthquake.

Other cause of Earthquakes is the movement of Tectonic Plates.
Twelve plates
Earth's Spheres
The tremors that can only be detected by seismographs. The Earth's crust is made up of twelve plates of about 70 km thick (American, South American, Eurasian, African, Antarctic, Australian Indo, Philippines, Pacific, Cocos, Caribbean, Arab and Nazca), which are constantly moving from millions of years ago. We can feel small earthquakes almost every moment and develop only 10% of earthquakes happen far from the boundaries of these plates.
What is the Epicenter?
Is where the force of the earthquake start.
How many plates are in the earth?Twelve plates
Earth's Spheres
Atmosphere is the gas part of the earth like the oxygen, CO2 or nitrogen.
Hydrosphere is the liquid part of the earth like ocean, rivers or lakes.
Lithosphere is the solid part of the earth like rock and minerals.
The earth have two crust and one of this is Continental Crust is where we live on where exist the life like animals, plants and humans everybody in general. The other crust is Continental Crust is all the ocean and where live animals and plants live too.
How many Earth's Spheres we have in the earth? (Name of the spheres)
We have 3 and this are Atmosphere, Hydrosphere and Lithosphere.
Which sphere do we live on?
We live on Lithosphere

Earth and Moon.
Tides Mareas Is the rise and fall of the waters of the sea, caused by the attractive forces of the Sun and Moon.
Water level Nivel del Mar Height from sea when calm, which serves as a reference for measuring the height or depth of a place.
Neap Tides Mareas Muertas. When the moon and sun form a 90 ° angle centered on the earth, the moon is in waxing or waning.
Summary
The lunar revolution is when the moon revolves around the earth. The earth and it's moon travel together around the sun this process take a month to be complete. The moon have different phases like "New moon,Crescent moon, First quarter, Gibbous moon, Third quarter are 8 phases. The moon phases means movements rotation and translation of the Earth and Moon. The tides are the change in level of water in the ocean. The sea level is always zero. The neap tides come twice at month in 1st and 3rd quarters of the moon.

Critical Thinking Question.
How is the earth affected by movement (Revolution)?
There are two major movements affecting land. The first is the rotation of the Earth around an imaginary axis. It takes the Earth in about 24 hours to complete a full rotation. The second important movement that affects the Earth is its revolution around the sun. A revolution is 365 days or one year. Acting together these two movements create temperature variations in time and seasons.
Reflection.
1. I enjoy working in teams because like that we work enthusiasm and we work more fast also we can get more ideas if we work together.
2. The most challenging was make the video because we don't know how to start the video and how to do it without mistakes.
3. I learned the different phases of the moon (the moon revolution) how this process take.
4. I can edit the video and put more details there.
